  • There's no doubt that this has been a strange time. Although we've been stuck mostly inside and summer activities like Totus Tuus have been cancelled, we can still have fun and learn about Jesus and the life He has called us to live.

Be Saints! alternates between teen nights (7-12 grade) and family nights (all ages). We'll begin on June 17 and go through July 22. Join others from around the diocese on Wednesday nights at 7 pm, and sign up here to receive information and weekly Zoom links. Learn from former Totus Tuus missionaries, seminarians, a Dominican Sister, and Fr. Rhodes Bolster! Limited to 100 participants per session.

    Nightly Format

7:00 Everyone arrives in the Zoom room, introductions and icebreakers

    7:05 Fun and dynamic game

    7:15 Talk given

    7:45 Questions, reflections or challenge

    7:50 Close in prayer

7:55 Teens and families are encouraged to stay on if they like to share or ask questions

    The Schedule:

June 17 (Teen Night):  Theology of the Body Night taught by Camille Mancini

June 24 (Family Night): 10 Commandments taught by Skylar Cummings

July 1 (Teen Night): Vocation Panel moderated by Fr. Rhodes Bolster, a Dominican Sister, and Elise and Brian Kaufman

July 8 (Family Night): The Rosary taught by Megan Gregory

July 15 (Teen Night): “Let's be Saints!” taught by David Lee

July 22 (Family Night):  “Living Your Faith as a Family” taught by John Oldham

    About the Speakers:
    • Camille Mancini is originally from Knoxville TN and served Nashville as a Totus Tuus Missionary in the summer of 2019. She recently graduated from Benedictine College and will be moving to Wichita, KS in the fall to teach in a Catholic school.

    • Skylar Cummings is from Hendersonville and is a graduate of JPII High School. He will enter his sophomore year at Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving, TX.

    • Fr. Rhodes Bolster is a priest for the Diocese of Nashville who was ordained in May 2019. He is a Father Ryan High School alumni. He is currently in the process of finishing his Licentiate of Sacred Theology in liturgical theology degree.

    • Elise and Brian Kaufman met five years ago while both teaching at the same Nashville area high school and were married at Cathedral of the Incarnation in October 2019. Elise served as a Totus Tuus missionary in 2013 while attending Vanderbilt. Since then she has been on staff for 5 Totus Tuus missionary trainings both here in Nashville and in Pheonix AZ.

    • Megan Gregory is from Smyrna, TN and served Totus Tuus for 3 years, 2017-2019. She has a deep love for all things Totus Tuus and she is excited to be with our teens again this summer.

    • David Lee is a seminarian and former St. Edward parishioner. He studies at Notre Dame Seminary in Louisiana.

    • John Oldham, a Nashville native and St. Edward and Fr. Ryan alumni, now attends University of TN Knoxville and will graduate this May. He served as a Totus Tuus missionary the summer of 2018.
